Quick-strategies for new Managers
Move the ball around
Opponent’s will target whoever is in possession of the finball - create space, keep the finball moving around, and generally push your players as far into opponent territory as you can.
Don’t leave your splash-zone unattended
With the right strategy, opponents can move the finball down the pitch incredibly quickly, and if you’ve moved your defence out, you may risk the opponent scoring. Use the Wall Skill to cover an additional two tiles if you’re worried an opponent is getting close.
Never leave a player undefended
A player in possession of the finball who is left within range of an opponent WILL be tackled, and will lose possession of the ball if left undefended. You have two options: either cover the player with a team-mate moved to an adjacent tile, or use the Iron Armour Skill
Use your player’s Skills
Each position (Defence, Midfield, Attack) have different Skills available to them - experiment with different skills to create bespoke strategies for both attacking and defending.
